Adobe Photoshop

So I am in the market for a graphic software. I see on ebay there are many versions. But what concerns me is if someone is selling me an educational version of Photoshop cs3 instead of a commercial version? I mean can I upgrade it to a commercial one or is there any way to tell? Like will an image have a water mark or anything?

Just looking for some honest advice.

The difference is in price, and you typically have to be enrolled somewhere to get it. But it's the full version. Edit: Oh, yeah--and you can't upgrade from an educational version, that's the one I forgot.
