Hi,

I love PS CS but since I edit 3-4 images for each product and thousands of products it is becoming more difficult to work with. I setup a batch to take my large image and resize and unsharp mask it into other sizes and change the extension. We put a -500(image size)-1.jpg after each product code. When I use their special batch feature it doesn't allow for me to change the quality of the jpg and makes it 100% everytime.

Any suggestions would be appreciated before I have to go and look at Fireworks. I can detail the process with screenshots if you need.

Nathan...

Get a copy of IrfanView - it's free. In it's Thumbnails application, you can select a batch of photos, then go to File, "Start Batch dialog with Selected thumbnails" - when the next dialog box comes up , you can set all kinds of options, one of which is the quality of the output.

Exif Harvester will do it, too. Like LNR's suggestion, both are free.

But I'd stick with Photoshop. Applying some USM after downsizing is important, and makes a great image stand out from a good one ... processing wise.

If you can't get it to save 100 % quality jpegs, have Photoshop save lossless png files, then mass convert them after the fact.
