Adobe Photoshop

Hi I'm new at this and have just installed CS2. When I start the program, it loads, the menu thing pops up and then I get a box that says Adobe Updater could not be started. Please reinstall the application and it's components.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I get the same error every time when installing the program. It says that HKSCS.txt is missing. Where do I find this and how do I fix it?

Is it a LEGIT copy of PSCS2 ?

not sure my uncle put it on my tower when he reformatted it for me and i just got it back from him.

i know so little when it comes to reformatting and installing programs it just plain sucks.

Ok, other than that error message, does PS come up at all ?
If so, you can turn off the updater in the Preferences.

Sounds like you may have a 'downloaded' copy of PS though.

everything else comes up fine, I was just wondering if it was a substantial file missing or a glitch.

It's just Photoshop's updater that's not working.. not a huge issue really.
