i need to take that necklace that is centered on the page, and make the entire background a solid black or dark gray. i tried to just do a fill, but because that backdround is kinda textured, it leaves hundreds of pockets around the edge that were not filled

please help!

btw... i have to do this with about 40 pics... so i don't really need perfection, but the finished result must look presentable for sale.

I used the select color range, desaturated the BG and darkened it some... took about 3 minutes.... oh yeah the clone tool to get rid of the stragglers....
