i finally purchased photoshop and im looking to make some logos for anybody who needs them.. logos, sigs, banners..

what i would like in return is maybe a link on your site or help getting my blog into more search engines..

Not with photoshop he can't. While PS does have a vector pen tool, it does not render in any vector extensions & still remains a Paint / Raster / Photo manipulation program.

If you want to do logos, try using illustrator, create logos in vectors.

Vectors are definitely the best format to design logos in.. however if the logo is being used solely for a website header... then it really isn't necessary unless you expect to expand your advertising to print or other large format or if you plan to do any merchandising.

As was mentioned before, Photoshop cannot create a true vector image. Illustrator is the best in that department. How ever, you can transport a pen drawing from Photoshop to Illustrator and Illustrator can convert it to a true vector.
