Hey guys,
I want to create 50*50 icons from some snapshots. But sometimes the quality becomes bad. I have cropped the images and not using the full image , but still it seems blurry. What can I do??

Hi Idefy,

It depends on your conversion maybe. Further the original size.

If the original is small and blurry to start with, then you need to have other originals.
And in most cases, sharpness and clarity decrease with resizing, so adding some unsharp mask before resizing might help

use masking it will reduce its blurry effect or adjust its original size...

you need to start with a high resolution original pic and then resize it; also, masking will help with the blur.

Very true. Masking helps a bit. Try that out. I remember before when I used to create such small banners with that kind of small pixels working on. It is definitely hard.

are you using unsharp mask or the smart sharpen filter in ps after resizing? if the original is big enough then resize to 25% first then sharpen slightly (unsharp/smart sharpen), then reduce to final size then sharpen again (unsharp/smart sharpen)
