I know. What's up with all these logos lately? I see companies using just text. Personally, I think that's boring. Give it some impact I say, by creating a visual character or scene that symbolizes the company or it's products and services.

Yeah glares are in right now they look good

the first one - the emboss with the shadows makes it impossible to read and the font is all wrong for what the name is

the second one looks spammish and if i saw a logo like that on a webpage i went to i would probably click the back button right away

a simple glare with lighter colors, colors that just look good to the eye and match the rest of your site would look fine for a beginner logo

probably something to do with so many people who think "WordArt" (MS Word) is the height of graphic design, judging by some of the "logos" and "headers" clients send us as their idea of a great design.

We do try to explain that sending us a "word document" is NOT something we can use as a design template.

Logo needs a lot of work man. Take all those outer glows off... and stoke off. Do a nice simple reflection would look a lot cleaner.

Building a logo isn't as easy as seem people may think. You have to incorporate some of the main elements of logo building in a harmonious mixture.

Is it simple? Is it easy to ready? Is it memorable? Sizable? Goes well with light and dark backgrounds? Can people describe it easily? Does it have an underlying meaning with thle organization, history or the company's vision?

Yeah and finally it has to look unique and appealing. Rapping this all up into a little picture is difficult. Sorry to tell you but the first logo looks like ten minutes, and the second one looks better but still cluttered and easy to forget.

Definitely need to lighten the colors up a lot. The font also looks like an older font. Keep trying and I know you can do better then that...

There's always the Logo Creator by Laughing Bird Software which does pretty good for the price, that's if you want the 'flashy style' logo.

I think a logo should have only 2 colors and if it must have 3 then it should be on a smaller space like a dot on the letter "i" or an underline.

The logo also should say something other than the name of the company. Like the logo of F1 Race has a feeling of fast cars.

It needs to be clever to stand out.
