Hello All,

I'm hoping I can find a solution to my problem here. I have saved my gif images in Photoshop 6 with transparency using the Save for Web option. When I import the image into SWISH (an application for making Flash movies) the images have a hazy look where the transparency would be. Does anyone know how I can clear this up? I've looked for help on the SWISH site and there isn't a solution.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Is it possible that you can save with a web safe colored background thats the same as where you will be placing Swish object.

Perhaps you can try the "Export Transparent Image" command under Help menu. But before doing so you may want to delete the bg first or make it invisible. The succeeding commands will guide you through the steps. You may want to use png instead of gif.

try this if it helps --> sometimes it does that but when u save it increase the quality of the graphics cos mostly it is automaticly sets to 50% --- make it 100% or 80%

hi there!...aha!...ok, I know of swish, but dont use it...but your experiance is common in other apps. I hope this might be a wee solution!

Instead of "save for web" save as a ping file, that preserves transparency, (upto 40bit) and is more in keeping with the likes of Flash and Swish...however, the file size is much higher!....it also renders the transparency properly....your welcome to email me if I can help. (oh, and its free!..lol) info@palegallery.com

Cheers, scotia
