It's not a hotoshop mask, it's filter. You can download the free trial here:

http://www.vertustech.com/fm_buynow.htm

I tried it and thought that it's not worth it's price.

Basically what it does is; It analyzes a graphic and identiefies continuous areas of the same colour/pateern and put a blue border around it. With a brush, you can select these bordered areas and delete them so you can for exaple separate a person standing in the mall from the rest of the surroundings.

Useful? Yes
Redundan? Sure. If you know how to use the magic wand tool and can spare a few more mouse clicks then you don't need this plugin.

Sorry for answering so late, I had a tonn of things to do.

Mohab....I appreciate your input.....but you are not entirely correct. Yes you can duplicate some of the work by fluid mask with your magic wand, but fluid mask allows me to use pictures I was never able to use before (due to similar color backgrounds), so now my potential gallgery is 5 times the size of yours. Not to mention, I would like to see you accomplish the lattice work it does with a magic brush. It would take you days to magic wand out a sky behind some trees or let me see you duplicate a cutout or alpha mask including every strand of hair of a subject with the magic wand (see tutorial at vertustech.com) In my opinion this software is awesome, it saves you time and in the design world, TIME IS MONEY....so spend almost $200 to save thousands......where do I sign?

I recognised it's usefulness when a friend gave me a picture of her baby son that he had taken with a camera phone, she wantede me to clean it up for her as it's her PC's desktop image. The low resolution of the small picture + the large size it will be displayed at, made it very grainy.

After adjusting the baby, I wanted to extract his face from the grainy background. Using the magic wand would extract the background with bits of the baby's hair.

Pilu, thank you for poining this issue out.
