Photoshop & Fireworks - Creating Slices

Hi,

I want to make a site that requires me to slice up one of the background images so that i can obviously make into links. I used to use Photoshop for the graphics then Fireworks to slice up the images.

I was wondering if it was at all possible to create slices in Photoshop (the same way Fireworks does it) as I would prefer to just use one program, if at all possible.

What programs do all you guys use when creating websites with a more graphical edge?

With Photoshop You can also slice Your image, and with ImageReady, too.

Load Your picture and press K....or ..icon next to crop tool...

just to note if your using dreamweaver at all. Image ready is not is not as compatible with dreamweaver as Fireworks. In this case I would suggest continue using fireworks.

Yeah.. well they are ALL in the same house as Adobe Macromedia was bought out by Adobe.

You can create "slices" with Photoshop, but I would not recommend using the horrid html that ImageReady spits out.

BTW, with the next version of Photoshop, ImageReady is on the trash heap.

Better to use image for websie use should "Ctrl+Shif+C" to copy your selection anh then "Ctrl+ N" it will be make a new file the same size your copy.

Past into the new file, save as images.gif
