I was just getting used to CS2 and guess what, CS3 is here. I read in the past that Adobe is including more of Imageready's features in Photoshop so they will fade out Imageready. I was wondering. Do you think now that Adobe and Macromedia are one, we will start to see some of Flash's features in Photoshop?

The merger was 100% complete some time ago, they ARE 1 now.

Photoshop is a raster graphics program. I rather doubt they would do too much melding of the two. However, a HUGE help would be the ability to export PSD layered files to Flash layered files - something you need 3rd party software for now.

I think a lot of the changes are to do with photography ( especially direct support for more RAW formats ) and Bridge. But then I haven't played with it; that's just a guess.

Photography is getting more and more popular since it went digital. The learning curve is a lot easier with instant feedback. People are finding they have skill, and getting better at doing their own developing. Most high end cameras benefit from some Photoshop much more than point and shoots do, because they record more data, but show less contrast. So it's an exploding market for Adobe.

I agree that Adobe should put all the features of ImageReady into Photoshop and toss ImageReady. There is no reason why the things are in two separate software application.

What 3rd party software is good for that?
