Learning PSD.I have a couple of questions that I need answered, please.
1-What is the relationship between Imageready and PSD?? Can you do one thing with one that you can't with the other?? I notice in Imageready you can make buttons and text boxes that are already premade with shading and effects, you just make them bigger/smaller as needed.
2-Please explain what and why silcing is necessary??? and I see a couple of ways, is there one that is better??
Thank you,
Mark

They are 2 separate applications. However, you can jump from PS from within IR and vice-versa. What you can do with IR that you cannot do with PS is create animated GIFs and animated buttons etc. IR will also export a PSD image to HTML -sort of. It makes HORRIBLE code and a lot of unnecessary image 'slices' .

It's not necessary at all. However, if you choose to use IR's export to HTML as mentioned above, then you have to define your 'slices' - which means you essentially carve up your PSD graphic and IR will export the pieces as gif/jpg and stick them in a tabled HTML layout.

Definitely NOT the way to make a web page.

in photoshop you have more options in creating graphics than imageready as imageready do not suppose some tools or options like PS
