Hi,

I was wondering what some of your experiences have been with CJ. I have heard some bad and some good. Do you recommend them for promoting physical goods or are there others which are better?

Thanks,

Matt

I use CJ for the Discovery Channel store and also used them for a ringtones deal. The revenue is good, but the customer support is horrific.

I didn't have a good experience with CJ, but that was back in 2001, so things may have changed for the better since then? At least I hope so.

Humbly,

cj is for the big players. part-timers need not bother. if you dont make any money in 6 months they will kick you out. that in itself is rather poor customer service.

Really? I didn't know that at all. How much money do you have to make? I'm certainly not a "big player" ... I make a couple hundred through CJ a month.

CJ is great for Niche sites as they have a ton of niche offers. However, if you are promoting something more generic, such as Ringtones, you will get a much higher payout elsewhere!

I have been a member of CJ as an Affiliate not a merchant for 2 years. Most of my online income comes from commissions earned directing traffic to ebay pages about $1000-3000 per month from 50,000 to 200,000 visitors. The traffic i use and also sell runs about 25-30% of commissions. Ebay pages are successful for two reasons
1. they are the largest market place in the world. The likelyhood of a visitor finding what they are looking for is high.
2. Joining ebay cost $0

You get paid when someone joins and becomes active or when someones buys something.
cj is free to join (you do need a website or e-mail list) for comission tracking purposes.

Check out the ebay affiliate compensation page here affiliates.ebay.com/program-details/compensation/

I do not monitor this forum very much right now due to time constraints so any questions could be directed to sales@webtrafficsupply.com.

Good luck.

They are an affiliate network not a program. They have a wide variety of affiliate programs you can join. Very good tools IMO. The bulk of my income comes from CJ.

s21791 -I am an ebay affiliate, also. Seems to me commissions are pretty low.

As long as your making some Money they won't get rid of you. Some Months I only make $20 Bucks or so. They just don't want dead accounts.

We haven't had any problems at all. Of course, I have never needed to contact them for anything, but so far so good!
