Hi,

When you create your affiliate site, and place your banners on that. Do you instantly try to get paid traffic? Or do you try your hardest with SEO and search terms.

If you choose the latter, how do you get places to trade links with you? Also do you put your heart and soul into your websites, or just create one and move onto the next one until the first one is making money, sort of like a domino effect.

Well it depends on what kind of affiliate site you are making. A one that uses content to drive visitors or a one page lead capture page?

I try to do a mix of both paid and SEO. and seems to work well. as far as what i put into it, as with any project i do i put my all into it as long as it is worth the return. As i won't spend days working on a site knowing that either way it doesn't matter if its fancy or plain. But a site that i know needs some flash to convert i will put time into it.

You should concentrate on one thing first, never spread yourself to thin. Exhaust all areas of generating revenue and add products or services that complements what you are already offering. It is much easier to make money from someone who is already your customer.

When you start, concentrate on one site first, COMPLETE if, and then past on the next one.

When you start earning money and feel comfortable, you can speed up the process and work on several sites.

about giving life to your site, I promote the site with articles, blogs, forums and I pass to the next site.

If I see that a site is making more money thn others, I put more efforts into it.

I am in the procedure of doing things faster and faster.I am doing posting and reading in all levels.I am quick in creating, bad in traffic for the time been.
The most difficult is free qualified traffic. If you pay ppc that's another (expensive) story.I am studing these days Chris methods from Affiliatex but haven't started ppc yet.Even with these methods you must be good enough in copy and make a small unique product of your own (video), where i stumble in accent problems.

Thank you

Basil

the problem with SEO is that it takes time. I do PPC right away.

I like to revise what I have to get it to convert better. I like to have a few sites that make a lot rather than a lot of sites that make a little. This way i have a bigger customer base in the same boat that I can cross sell the same thing to.

I do PPC as soon as the site or page is ready to go. That way I can see real traffic and work on conversions before spending too much time on promotion.

Come on dude, seriously. He makes sites, and all he pays is the domain cost because he designs it himself and codes it himself (or he has some very helpful friends).

If you think a domain from a registrar costs lots, you are in for a hefty ride
