I bought the Day Job Killer eBook and the Adwords Miracle ebook written by Chris McNeeney. As part of the "marketing" Chris is surrounding his products with, at one point he was looking for folks interested in being selected as the role models for his next project. You could informally apply to be coached. From the email it sounded like that he (or the coaching team whatsoever) will guide affiliates through the steps necessary to be successful. The affiliate spends his or her own money of course on the whatever is needed (PPC, etc.). As far as I know there are no coaching fees or stuff like that, but you pretty give him permission to a) use you as a guniea pig to test the new marketing methods and b) to give permissions to be used as a marketing example.
Has anyone heard of this before? Has anyone been contacted and went through this coaching program before? Is it a scam? Are they trying to sell stuff that you don't know about upfront?
I received a call from an 800 number in regards to this. The number is listed in Google with a domain wincoaching.com - conveniently parked at Godaddy.
How trustworthy is Chris McNeeney in regards to this? Any feedback would be appreciated.
PS: Please do not turn this into a discussion about ebooks. I liked the books I bought. Even though they are not the golden ticket to be rich (I did not expect that anyway), they still have some valuable information in it.
