It is not one click and an overnight getting rich. I know that. That mistake makes many people get out of a work at home based business opportunity at the first month. But on your experience how long do you run to start making money?

I started on eBay and promoting my own eBooks through AdWords,
so the first sales came within a week. It does depend on what
you're selling and how though.

With following some of the example people have posted throughout this forum, You should be able to make money within your first week

Of course this depends on whether or not you are spending time to develop a website.

I know this is in the affiliate marketing section, but with Adsense I made money the first day, although not enough to stay home. I think the better question is how long does it take to make enough money to actually stay home and run it as a business. I know I need about $4k Canadian a month (a little more than my wage) to be able to actually work from home full time comfortably.

Thank you all. My query was a thought about how long does it take to make money after get in an affiliated program.

When we get in an Internet marketing business we think we are ready to discover the freedom that we can hardly dream of. It is the right place to have a different style of make money innovated. We are where we are today because of the decision made and potential risk we took. However, there is a science to make money online. And we need be patient with that.

If you're talking about pay frequency I know with ClickBank pays Bi-Weekly. Your earned commissions should typically be in the next check you get. So it's usually pretty immediate. Hope that helped.

i hate these sorts of q's but I will give some tips to help out.

remember if you want to start making money online its not an overnight thing...anything that is or is advertised to be is a scam trust me.

if you want to start earning money online remember your building a hard core rock solid business and it takes time to develop the site and get continuous traffic to there without any troubles.

I have seen some people set this up within only 2 months some take up to 12 months.....but remember you have to put the hard yards in. You have to become good at marketing....get hold of every book your see and test their ideas.

you must pick a niche or trend the is highly popular if you gunna make some $$$$ dont be suprised if your up at 3am in the morning and not seeing too many results initially.....you have too build a business not just a disposable income that will come and go like a sunami. Thats the key to surviving and making some healthy profits.

also setting up smart jv's and affiliate programs as your business develops that will bring in extra sales without the minimal work.

I dare say you better not keep reading...you better go out and apply this knowledge that you have just learnt.

Yeah I'd have to agree with most of the other guys-it will take time to build a REGULAR income, but with certain affiliate things you may well earn from day one, and gradually build it up from there.

I have a highly targeted niche site with affiliate offers that pay at least $20 or more.

My site went live and within four days I had 70 clicks and one sale.

YMMV.

You must define your targets and work hard at driving traffic. Traffic=sales.

yeah that is the key.....traffic traffic traffic...even if they dont buy their first visit keep them on a list and give them more juicy information ....eventually if they keep visiting and think you have some good content they will buy.....

but in the mean time traffic traffic traffic.

-Learning , testing , budget, knowledge, strategy are all important but the most important thing that you take a paper and draw what you need,
-short term :; learn pay per click advertising yahoo search marketing, google adwords, help center and then expert ebook (it is not important to get many ebook which will be a problem, yes the problem that would like to learn thousands ebook and strategies a the same time without testing, avoid that start by help center then choose one ebook).
- long term: build your website and learn how to promote this web site (avoid dramatically, and all the hype, secrets.. because if you know a secret that make you thousand $ per day I am sure that you will not sell it for $27, or you are not business man).

There is no specific time to start expecting revenue from your site. Some sites may bring revenue overnight, others may take months. If you have a lose weight site, you can expect to rope in profits after a day or two if you have a niche keyword and high traffic. On the contrary, an affiliate site for a snow equipment will experience a seasonal income mostly.

Much depends on where you are getting traffic from and what you are offering as an affiliate.

Depends on lots of factors including traffic,the keywords you are using and whether or not your site offers seasonal items. A snowmobile site may have seasonal income whilst a weight loss affiliate may run into several hundreds of Dollars in a week if the traffic is right.

How long you wait could be related to how soon people find your site and get what they are looking for.

just get out there and "get er' done" as they say....alot of people get so much info they dont know where to start.

I suffered from this and you might be too at the moment. So if your reading this and dont know where to start get a good manual and read it thoroughly and start implementing the strategies in there straight away.

action is what it takes.......if you dont act apon and test information in marketing books how will you be able to make money....so I would say take serious action on the things you learn in the next day. month, week.

also make sure you having fun...if your not....i would recommend this game is not for you.

yes the reason marketers love selling product and dont fear competition is because only 5% that buy their stuff will actually get off their buts and act apon the informatoin they read.....pity really but it is the hard core truth.

so action is definatly the key here.

ok your going to make mistakes but i would rather make them sooner than later.

get a mentor too someone that has already made the mistakes and learn from them. That way you will be able to fast track yoru success and keep failures to a bare minimum.

It helped me when i first started out.

find someone who know what their doing and making s#$%loads of money and learn the ropes.

If you dont learn from someone that talks the talks and walks the walk your waisting your time.

If you are smart and unique enough and think of something a daily internet user will need then you will have no problem making money.
