Affiliate Marketing Tycoon

Hi. I own a gardening website which has a directory that I want to grow. The site itself does well in terms of traffic so there is value in being listed in the directory. The directory runs with yearly subscription amounts and I am wanting to improve its' visibility. I am considering running an affiliate program that would pay a buck per sign-up or so and am looking for suggestions on where to go or how to run it. I don't want to have to lay out hundreds of dollars to get one going and it seems all the big names are truly expensive. Anyone have any ideas?

I run an affiliate program for a smaller company and we use Share A Sale. Their support is excellent and their pricing is reasonable. There is a one time activation fee, but it is worth it in the end to be a part of Share a Sale's network. In my opinion it is also the best network for affiliates, because of the support and ease to use the website.
