Why would your visitors click your ads?

Hi,

I have a question for you all. Is there any other way to make a visitor click on the ads apart from their own interest?

If you are still not sure what I mean - is there any trick you know of to place the ads on the site in such a way that the visitor is bound to click on it.

Share your thoughts.

Thanx

when visitors reach your site, lets say by a Google search, and your site pops up, they may not find everything they are looking for on your site, but if they see links on the ads that are relevant to your content, instead of going back to the Google page, its easier to click on the ads on your site. If you site is well organized and is concentrated on one subject, you will have better links on your ads.

It depends on your layout, and your ad type/colors. You can never make people click otherwise you would get 100% ctr. Traffic is your most important thing, once you get traffic you will get clicks.

You can blend the ads in and customize them to be the same colour as your text, and lay them out in between paragraphs, if you do this there is a good chance your visitors will click on them

I heard that some visitors will click on your ads just to express their appreciation on your good content.

Tricking your users is not good. You want the ads to be as relevant as possible. Some users may click your ads just to express their appreciation for your site, but this is not good for anyone.

I don't want them clicking on my ads unless they are interested in what I have to offer...

Frankly, depending on which of my sites they're on, I couldn't care less if they are interested in anything EXCEPT the ads. Geez.....the ads are there to make you money.

It's best to just focus on building a nice quality site and getting some good quality traffic to it rather than finding ways to making most, if not all of your visitors click on the ads.

Donot ever hide anything. Give your visitors enough reason why they choose you and spend money for it. Put yourself in customer shoes, what will you think if you see the content and products. Its all in your head, Read some good articles here in this forum and make a quality start.

Good luck
Steve

traffic is the lifeblood of the internet without we all fail. Too many people give up and i see their sites they look pretty and may even have some good content but you have to get targeted traffic.

I think after you get the traffic test placements of ad, we all know that when we view a website the view preference goes like this :-

TOP <----> BOTTOM

LEFT <-----> RIGHT

Thats how we have learnt to read (except some other countries) so if your testing you and based on this information you should be putting your important banners top left and other important ones bottom right.

I have do tests and banners on the right do well also.
