Stephen,

You have given us just a little bit to go on. For example, we don't know what kind of product is being sold, the price range, or anything about the nature of your business. So, we are pretty much "shooting in the dark."

For example, at 20% commission doesn't mean anything to me. If the product is a $2000 product and I earn a $400 commission for each sale I may be interested assuming that the product is one that I could market effectively. On the other hand, if this is a $20 product I am very reluctant to chase after four dollars commissions.

To increase your number of affiliates may also be a bit misdirected. It does have very little good to have hundreds of affiliates if they are not able to generate any significant sales. In fact, a large number of low producing affiliates may be counterproductive to the extent that you have people signing up to simply obtain what amounts to a 20% discount when they buy your product.

My suggestion is to do some research in your particular market niche and identify those websites and other marketers serving your niche. I would then pick up the phone were write them a letter, as opposed to sending an e-mail, and make them a proposal. I would consider sending them a complimentary copy of your product(s) for their review and consider bumping your commission up to something on the order of 30% to 40%. The deal would be contingent upon their willingness to participate in a joint venture which would amount to a product rollout aimed at their particular market niche and opt in e-mail list.

I am sure you can figure out the details, at least I hope so since we have very little information to advise you further.

Good luck!
