Ok, so learning how to use search ads is a process that comes in successes and defeats.
I've been using my free $75 credit on Microsoft adCenter so really this didn't cost me anything, but its a learning process.
I used some links from MaxBounty and I've received my first commission of $18. Very nice since that ad only received 6 clicks. 1:6 NOT BAD ODDS.
However this is where you can learn from my mistakes.
I went with the default setting of 23.50 per keyword. For some reason I thought I was going to be costing alot less because the price per click was estimated as well under a dollar.
I had set the new ad last night and checked it this morning and my total was already over $30! I thought, wow.. wonder what I made.. nope.. just $18. That's not a profit, that's a mistake...on my part. Now of course, having the 23.50 per keyword put me in the #1 listing spot, but it also cost me twice what my payout was. Ok, so now I'm settling for a lower position and a much cheaper keyword price and will see how the ad does.
I'm just glad I checked it now and didn't wait a few days. Oh my credit card would be hurting then!
