wow!! you got great traffic per month when you optimize your ads well you can do more dollars but the bad thing is that you receive traffic for forum so you will receive a only few ctrs. if make the ads in page that don't look like ads then you can make more..

In my experience, the adsense CTR varies from 2,62% - 3.62% and for approximately 132.000 page views made USD100 in one of my webpages. This means that for 30.000 page views at my rate you would make USD22.

your keywords, presumably relating to financial markets, stocks and shares, would be WAAAAY more profitable than average

he/she can't measure themselves against you

but I do personally think 20,000 page views is wasted if all you get is less than 50 cents! HOWEVER, it all depends on your content.

This forum we're on seems to use affiliate ads, and seeing as this forum is for experts on all this stuff, they may well be the good shepherd leading the way for you! As the geyser said to me daaan in the ghetto - do as i do, not as i say.

i mean, we're all salespersons of some sort, and if you do what we say, that would mean handing over your cash to us, usually for something you don't need.

I used to have 600 uniques a month and earn £200 even up to £500 in some very lucky months.

I'm rebuilding the same thing and hoping to get 6000 uniques a month! heaven knows if it will add up the same - markets fluctuate, and right now we're in a big recession.

Allegedly google adsense IS in trouble in terms of growth, so maybe you ARE onto a bad thing, but who knows. I would NOT use any other pay-per-click network, though, adsense is the only 'real' one - in terms of real money. Where you get 34 cents from adsense, the "alternatives" (other than yahoo, presumably, but i haven't got approval from them yet, perhaps because my traffic's got a lot of british and even chinese - for the website in question, that i submitted to them- they told me i'm on file ready to be checked for approval...) will pay you 0.0034 cents.

i'll give you some free consultancy here, so when you make money out of it, come back, go to my sig link and spend a LOT of money or the karma will be against you:

go to an affiliate network.. affiliatewindow is good for us brits, but commission junction is pretty vital since a lot of key traders are only there. sign up to the network, then sign up to lots of programmes suited to your users -

think about what football supporters will buy -
alcohol sales make good money on the web - i've often made a huge pile of cash that way
also team shirts - everton shirts - you can easily find a sports affiliate programme selling football shirts
also sports equipment - i have dozens of sports affiliate programmes i'm on, although i haven't got round to including them all in my site yet

try that out for a month and see what happens

if it's still no good, come back and ask and i'll suggest some other things

i don't suppose "online dating" is "cool" enough for football supporters... so that probably won't work, but then what do i know about football?

electricals is a good generic field to target a male audience with

if you had women in large numbers, fashion can be profitable - but i wouldn't recommend it for a football forum

naturally if you target adverts yourself, you make a lot more than going through a network who does the targeting for you (adsense will keep lots of the money for themselves that through more "direct" sales of the ads you'd have been paid in full)

you could even try going to local businesses or national ones, ringing by phone and saying

"I have 30,000 everton supporters looking at my site every month, and I'm happy to let you try out advertising to them at £100 per month"

After 150 phonecalls I reckon you'll have a few people trying it out. If they make money out of it, they'll stay longterm.

It pains me to see so many talented people getting so little pay for so much good work. The corporations really rob everyone they can don't they? I could see you as competition and be glad that few make enough "real money" from such talent and effort, but then I'd be just another sucker to the values of corporations: friends, romans, webmasters - don't be so weak. You can get A LOT MORE for 30,000 unique visitors than the kind of figures shown by most people here. You just have to work harder and rise above your "station".

Although technically writing at this forum helps me promote my site due to my sig link, I must stay away again, for a bit, since this message applies to me as much as you - I have to work a lot harder, because these corporations who hoard all the money (even when it's gone, they take our tax money to "bail them out" - exactly WHY we owe them I don't know) work VERY hard to prevent our work ever getting us anywhere near the real money.

It's all in the fight. You have to rise up to the challenge of your rival.

LOADS. As much as you can. As much as you deserve, depending on how hard you are willing to work to GET what you deserve. If 30,000 people walked into a shop, because you sent them there, wouldn't the owner owe you something? If 30,000 people saw a door leading to that shop as they walked past, how many of them would go into it? It depends on who they were and what was in the window. But If you think that 30,000 people passing a shop door should result in the shop owner paying the person who made them ALL pass his door no more than 20 dollars... you have not questioned what even a 5% conversion of passers-by to buyers is really worth. Even 1% dammit - that's 300 shoppers. I'd estimate its minimum value at £1000 any day.

I clicked on your adsense ads so you can earn a few extra cents lol.

any click on adsense with intent to just "help the webmaster" is technically a good way to get that webmaster banned from google adsense PERMANENTLY AND WITHOUT COMEBACK, whether they asked you to or not! I wouldn't make a habit of doing things like that. Besides, even if Google are the scum of the earth {which they are} it is totally immoral - somebody paid for those ads, paid for the click - and you just robbed them!

it really depends on how well your ads are to your content, having taken a look i would say not that great. On average I would say expect a CTR of between 1% and 3%, so take average 2% then 600 clicks at average $0.08 a click could be $48. But as someone rightly pointed out above, this is on estimate and most forums are much lower CTR than this average.

You may be better off joining some sport related affiliate programs like kitbag.com which is on Affiiate Window, linkshare have footlocker. Sports are not really my area so you will have to do a little investigation.

Agreed. Don't need to do that to have more earnings. Just focus on the contents that could attract visitors, and customize the ads and layout. Put the ads at the correct position. The clicks will come to you automatically.

I would say that if it were in the dating niche for example, I would expect to earn around $1000 a month. You need to rework your strategy and CPA's i would say!!
