Do any of you make living with affiliate income only? if so, could you share how you do it?

Its definitely possible to make a living on affiliate marketing. The internet is the most important commercial medium in today's economy and there are many lucrative opportunities to take advantage of, but its important to keep things in perspective. It takes a lot of time and effort to build up a network of sites that will provide you with a dependable income, and there are no guarantees that you will succeed.

You will have to be patient to make a good living with affiliate programs. Allow the down line to grow as there is nothing called get quick rich programs.

Probably the easiest way to make a living with affiliate money is through pornography. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the on the forums, but a lot of those affiliate programs are for subscription sites that you continue to make money from via subscription renewals. It is a heavily saturated market however, and certainly not the most glamorous industry to work in.

You can learn a lot from these sites as an example though. You gather images or/and movies that entice the user to click on links and visit your site, you brand an image, find a niche within a particular market, assess your audiences interests, and find affiliate programs that sell that content.

If you are lucky not only is the affiliate program great at selling their product, but they will even give you content to help you sell the product for them. My suggestion is find something you are passionate about at first and see if you can find programs that would make you buy their stuff and go from there.

I run several events and a magazine for affiliates in the iGaming market and many of them make enough to be full time with a small percentage that earn enough to support half this forum full time

I don't think there is a secret of how to do it except find a niche you are passionate about and work hard and then invest every penny you make back into your sites - Over time you will build up enough consistant revenue to be able to give up your full time job, personally though I wouldn't do this until I had 6 months in a row at 3x my normal salary

I have been trying to achieve this for so long now but am still not able to leave my current job...
My advice would be to read as much as you can, blog, ebooks, articles whatever you find useful read it and keep learning...

I think it's hard. So many competitors out there. People can do it by working together with other people and combine their knowledge and skills.

Affiliate Marketing is second source of income for me. A lot depends upon what niche do you choose for affiliate marketing. Choosing an affiliate program that deals in your niche will always give that edge to earn that extra money. Do not rely on one single source to earn money from affiliates. Try to use all the available options.

The idea is to build a Data base of buyers, like an army of buyers to buy/ play/ rake for you for the life time

Well if you look at when I joined the forums 07-22-2004 (which was before you joined I might add) you might give me leeway here. I certainly can't be expected to memorize all the rules for all the forums I've joined in the past 6 years.

I have made money with affiliate programs, this one particular program I didn't have a blog or website at the time. It was the number one reason why I joined it, because they said you didn't have to have one. I was shocked when I received a check in the mail. You can make money, but it does take time. I was promoting all over the place. It takes a lot of hard work. I have also received money from taking surveys. (there are legitimate sites that pay) and also with text-link-ads. You have to stay focused and you do have to work. There is nothing that you can do that you won't have to work for it.

Now, I have two blogs, and a squidoo lens. I am still working at it.

Very true. However it does not preclude you from re-reading them and checking what is allowed or not.

Personally, I probably check some things in the forum rules every week or so just to refresh where the line is drawn.

To Choose the right affiliate program is very important. It is advisable that you choose a product that suites your niche. Do a little market research and figure out the best affiliate network that gives you the best deal for your selected product. This will certainly give you that edge over the market.

Try inserting this some 2/3 of the way down the Forum Rules:

Not that you can expect to receive any actual money, but you could include a reminder of these terms when sending banning emails to spammers. Some of them may be put to the nuisance of changing their Paypal and email accounts.

i agree with all the above statements , you need to stay with it and in time , it will come . the niche and the right tools always helps .
