I was curious to hear opinions from affiliates about programs that operate in a number of different niches. I'm and affiliate manager for a program that works in a number of different sectors: pharmacy, replicas, and tobacco.
It seems that most affiliates that work with us are reluctant to try working in other sectors. I understand that it takes a lot of time, effort, and energy to build up a site to do well in a given field, and people do not want to stray from what they don't know, but I'm finding that affiliates aren't willing to diversify.
Why is this? Is it hard to apply marketing know how learned in one niche to another?
