Obviously it's best to submit programs that are more established and have a solid track record. If you want to promote a smaller programs you could ask around on forums first and see what type of experience others have had with a particular program.
Quite correct. I usually visit forums to get an idea about an affiliate before I take the plunge. Even when an affiliate network says they pay don't believe them unless someone has received payment and is willing to show you proof.

What I considered as a good point is that relatively new programs are better at payment issues than older once. the newcomers need publicity and feedback from the forums. If a newcomer doesn't pay the forum feedback will kill him. I made better experiences with new ones! Thats why I change a lot :-)
How can we trust the small affiliate programs, don't even trust medium affiliate programs.
The site can scam you up no matter how good they were with you ,history doesn't guarantee anything,I just looking for the big one.
I write this post out of experience and disappointment - Dont trust the small affiliate programs unless you have some history with them.
It can be the best products and the best program, but dont send too much traffic from day 1. They can just not pay you.
I dont want to get into names and links, just keep out
Always make 30 days test.
Generate $100-$200 in revenue and wait for payment to arrive.
If all is working well, make more effort
You have nothing to loose !!!
yup we have to take care of the small network .. There are too many networks coming out but u will find quality in some of them only

I agree with you. Like any business or work, we should make some research before jumping at any conclusions. Nothing can be hidden for long on internet. Scammers are usually revealed. Having some research on people reviews/comments can save lots of efforts. I think that if people like you would keep sharing their stories with others, affiliate industry would get cleaner and better.

Every network has to start somewhere. There are several reasons why you might end up not getting paid, and it doesn't always hinge on the size of the network.
It's a tough time for CPA networks at the moment. Many are being left for dead by advertisers and this is coming back to haunt the affiliates.
Research in to the network's reputation (WickedFire Forum is the best place to do so), and also check out their financial credibility. If they're letting out bad noises that they're cutting back on staff and generally threatening to fold, then yeah, you don't want to be sending them your traffic for a Net 45.
