Ok, maybe it's a little late for this post but I was just reading a few articles that said something about affiliate marketers having to state that they're an affiliate for any programs they're promoting. You also can't make any false claims which is completely reasonable to me. But having to say you're an affiliate? Come on guys!

Yep if you are getting paid to promote or "review" a product, it should be made clear that it is NOT an impartial review or editorial comment.

The should extend it to cover hosting "review" sites and the "shills" in forums!

I read somewhere that you also have to mention on the page in "plain view" that you're an affiliate. Won't that screw up your conversions?

If people are going to click through the link and purchase the product why would it matter to them?
Do not confuse what you know and do with what the majority of the Internet buying public know and do.
