I fear there are no such way.
However lets take a chance what you can do now is ask the merchant gently and put some emotions on your message that how much hard work you had to do to make this money.If he has a good heart then he or she should show some sympathy to your work.
If it does not work ...leave it...forget it...and try to be cautious for future and wisely choose with whom you are going to work...Every mistake is the lesson of future.So dont get upset with it.
