Hi

I am starting an affiliate program to sell my products. My products are Premium Magento themes for online stores but i don't have much idea about affiliate program.

Any suggestions ?

Which program to use ? How to start ?

Any help will be appreciated.

There is a lot involved in creating your own affiliate program. There is a lot of tracking involved, verifying clicks, looking for click-fraud, paying affiliates, etc. If you don't have the resources to implement it or the knowledge of what is involved in managing an affiliate program, I'd highly suggest you contact someone like Commission Junction or Link Share to create/manage one for you.

You can pay for every theme sold via some sites, being involved into the affiliate program. For example you offer to place the button to the site, and pay for every order made after clicking the button.

I cannot tell anything of the technical application of this idea, so just saying how do I see it.

Since you have a fixed price, I would use PayDotCom. All payments are accepted using Paypal which I find very appealing. It's free if you're only promoting a single website. I would also suggest you hire a professional banner designer such as BannerMode.com to create some nice banners that go along with the theme of your site. If you want the best results, get banners in all the popular sizes including:

468x60
120x600
160x600
728x90
