I run a small site(50-100)visitors a day. I wanted to know if there was a way to make five bucks a month.

I tried Adsense and after I read the TOS( I think they're burning you, do you think that they are really honest LOL) My favorite is smartpricing. The publisher did his job when his visitor clicked the ad. It's not his fault the advertiser's site didn't convert. Google needs money keep on publishing free content for them to run their ads! They're the best ads ever, way better than any site that hosts them. I view them as leave my site now links!

I signed up for another affiliate program. I get 2 clicks a day (13 more a week than from Google) but only get 0.01 cents a day. That takes how long to earn 50 dollars, the minimum payout?

Should I just realize that until I have 100,000 visitors a month I'll pay, out of my own pocket, for the privilege of running ads.

If you were getting 50-100 visitors a day and only 1 click a week from Adsense there is something seriously wrong. If you are currently selling clicks from your site for 0.5 cents each something is still seriously wrong.

Bit of very rough estimate. Lets say an avereage of 75 visitors a day and assume an average of 3 page views - that's 225 impressions/day or 6,750/month. To hit your target of $5/month you need a CPM of about $0.74 which is INCREDIBLY low. Even a small adsense unit buried halfway down a page should earn you many times that amount.

Check my affiliate program. If you really have more than 50 unique visitors per day, you should end up with at least $15 a month. (50*30*10%).

I didn't have much luck with Adsense either. Check out http://dishnetworkjobs.blogspot.com They don't offer $$$ for clicks, but for every order you get between $50-100. So, if your goal is $50 then all you would need is one order!

Skorch, Although affilate programs for me has never really worked.

One you might want to try is http://www.ihsadvantage.com/h/home.do with your site being cliff diving you could make a little off of it - hotel booking online, you can have any many hotels or just hotels near your favorite locations.
