I would like some suggestions on getting affilitates interested in joining?

What sorts of marketing/advertising work?

Forums? Banners? Links? Mass e-mails? Looking to find ways of advertising/marketing without spending a large amount of $$$.

forums is a cheap way of advertising

just arriving at a forum and posting about your site etc is usually counterproductive - especially when in the wrong room etc

the best method is to have your site in your signature and profile and become a regular poster at a webmaster forum - youll find youll get more link trade requests and more hits this way

Advertising is a big issue when trying to get people to sign up for any affiliate program but there would be know point in advertising if your affiliate program does not look good.

As longs as your affiliate program looks good, then you should be allright.

I find that a good affiliate program to join is a program that offers many different ways of payment, pay's with a low minimum to no minimum payout, and pays either daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

Affiliate programs where you got to earn a minimum of $75.00 + to receive payment and you get paid Quarterly which is cut only by check, does not work for me!

As longs as your affiliate program looks good, and you advertise well, possibly within forums, or pay per click search engines, then your affiliates should start increasing rolling in.
