This is my own little personal success story.

I needed more revenue for my web site and being on a very limited very strapped marketing budget increasing my spending was not an option.

I did some affliate program research and was actually reffered by a user on this board to a PPC / meta site called GenieKnows.com

before I continue any further I must note that I do have good volumes of traffic on my site, but the conversion rate to purchase isn't as it should be.

I figured I can't force people to buy but I may be able to convert those numbers into revenue another way.

Now getting back to GenieKnows.com I found that aside from PPC they offered a "co-branding affiliate program" where as I was set up with an xml search feed (search box) directly on my main page the relavancy of the results are good and it's valued added feature to my site for my users but what's better is.

Now for every search that occurs on that box I receive a 50/50 rev share split and am pleased to say that with my high traffic numbers I am making substantial revenue off the box not only did I get that but I also received a free $25 trial PPC account which did not dissapoint

My revenue is up and thats my story

50/50 commission conversion used to be good about a year ago, but now things have moved on!

There are quite a few search engines that now pay upto 95% per bidded click-thru.

They also provide you with many ways to earn money. For example, most of them allows you to earn from placing a search box anywhere on your site, by referring others, by adding hard links to your site, by integrating the search results within your site by using javascript or xml feeds, etc.

I repeat "Things have move on!"

Some ppc search engines are even paying with a no minimum payout or they are even paying straight away with only about $5.00 minimum needed to be reached.

What sort of money can be earned off these types of PPC search engines?

I know its hard to say, but can you give me an idea? If traffic is about 5000+ daily user sessions (300K page views), any rough ideas?

Salman, It's hard to say how much you can earn from them, it all depends what method you use to earn from them. For example if you use their xml feed, you will most likely earn more money than using a search box as the results are intergrated into your own site making it look as if they are your results and not someone else's.

It also depends on what percentage of the revenue you get paid and the average bid price of each keyword that is clicked through from your site.

From the amount of visitors that you mentioned, I think you should earn a good bit, but it would be best to also try and refer other affiliates to the ppc search engines as it will also bring you in some more easy cash.

Yes that's it. It is just a question of the number of clicks you send and what terms people are searching for the most also you have to look how good the PPC program is.

Make sure the PPC program has a high payout rate (BTW our PPC program pays 65%) also check thier results to make sure they have many bidded terms and if they use third party PPC's (like us) make sure they pay on them to. Finally see what kind of special features they offer like XML feed so you can co-brand it to your site.

I agree that adding a Feed or a Search Box is a great feature and a great money maker for any site.
