Hi, everyone!

My company, iHOUSE Web Solutions, will be launching an affiliate program in the next few weeks. I'm not pimping it here- I'm genuinely curious about it's viability.

The way it is being set up is-

affiliate partners get people to take "test drives" of our product- a free, two week evealuation of our web sites for real estate agents.

for every test drive, we will pay out $3-4. For conversions, there will be a percentage involved.

It's being run through CJ.

I'm personally concerned about paying for the free test drives. My thought is that if an affiliate is bs-ing a bunch of test drives (meaning no conversions), we'll cancel his account.

What do you think?

Thanks for your time.

You may check the conversion ratio of affiliates with your average conversion ratio.
This will tell wheter lead was bogus or genuine.

You can also ask for credit card number while giving free trial. This will ensure genuine lead.

Is there some way you can have them prove they are actually real estate agents? Maybe require that they submit a license (or whatever) number along with the rest of their information when signing up for the free trial. All I know is that every time a site that offers a free trial requires a credit card up front I leave immediately, but that's just me.
