Hello everyone,
I am going to be building a site that has tutorials. Programming, design, etc. I will probably write some tutorials but a majority will be links to good tutorials on other websites online. I am currently in the phase of gathering links to various tutorials online. Obviously I can't expect to make any money from this site right away. But I wanted to think about how I can make some money from this in the future once I start getting some decent hits to the site. What would your recommendations be?
I was thinking about ads for books on the related subject that link to the book on amazon. (If they're looking at a PHP tutorial, maybe link to a book on PHP at amazon and so on). Would this be a good idea? What other ways could I look at to generate some revenue?
I've looked at Amazon's web services and I know they would provide me with some flexibility in delivering the appropriate books on the appropriate pages, but I only have experience in using web services in the .NET environment. I've purchased a directory listing script done in PHP and I know very little PHP so I'm not sure if I can implement the ads myself. Any suggestions on free/cheap prebuilt code snippets I can use?
Thanks in advance for the help!
