well, i personally never believed in affiliate marketing, i thought it's a hard work and generally either don't worth the effort or doesn't pay at all (scams etc). but recently i was tempted to sign up to one affiliate program, because the payout is high and i know for sure that it pays. so now the dilemma is -- how and where to promote it? the main idea of the referral is that i gotta make the person to add his site to a directory for about 50-70$. I have a several sites, all offer with free stuff for webmasters, or free ecards, free hosting etc. i have a lot of traffic, but seems impossible to take all these people who came to my site seeking for freebies -- to make them sign up somewhere for 50$, even though the directory is good and prestigious.

so... what to do? how and where do u promote ur affiliate programs, and is it worth it, or maybe i better give up, anyone cares to share your experience?

You need to find a quality program that offers pay-per-lead or pay-per-email. You then can offer free stuff and make cash. Don’t trust all affiliates, because a lot of them are scams. They get your sites traffic, but never pay a dime or use fake stats that don’t show your true conversions/earnings.
