Hi!
I'm new and about asp. Are these all the same species asp? asp.net? aspx? Can you use MS Visual Web Developer to edit a aspx file? Do you know of any good places for a newbie to get started on learning aspx. Any and all advice for a non-techie would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

ASP or Classic ASP is the old version. ASP.Net has 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.5 (I might have missed one or 2), you will generally be using 2.0 and up for your code. ASPX is the file extension used for ASP.Net. Yes you can using Visual Web Developer.

ASP and ASP.net both are microsoft products, and ASP.Net is much more enhanced version of ASP.
