I am use web matrix for my asp.net project because visual studio is too expensive for me. But thing is it is only 1.3 MB is size and visual studio .Net is more then 2 GB in size! If it is going to do same thing than what is the main difference between Web Matrix and visual studio .Net??

Don't use either. Notepad is free, and only 64.5Kb in size! (And you probably already have it)

Hey there,

I have downloaded the WebMatrix but never use it! It would be really nice if they had someway to develop Windows Applications. But i just use the 'ClassBrowser' cause its awesome

Webmatrix uses On Page coding. It is similar to classic ASP coding, but the old style spagetti code mumbo-jumbo is eliminated.

VS is a RAD (Rapid Application Deployement) Tool. It uses Codebehind model to construct ASP.NET pages.
VS is good for developing Windows Apps, Web Apps, Web Service Apps and more.

I've started using Web Matrix now.. it's pretty good, doesn't insert too much of it's own code as long as you don't switch to the Design tab and then back again. I really hate it when programs mess with my code - I like it formatted in my own way.
