Hey guys, so im trying to transfer my website written in aspx from my old host to my new host. The old host is verio and the new host is godaddy. Anyway im not very knowledgeable when it comes to ASP so i was wondering how i would transfer the entire website. I realize that i need to transfer the file but im not sure how to transfer the SQL database. Also is there anything else that i would need to do in order to get the website running on my new host( godaddy)? Thanks in advance guys

FTP download the files to your machine, then FTP upload to the new host.

Log in to whatever control panel you use and run a full backup of the database, download this as well.

Log into whatever control panel is on the new host upload the SQL backup and restore the data.

Also is there anything else that i would need to do in order to get the website running on my new host

Change the server name/IP in the scripts and the username & password at minimun I would suggest.

As for anything else you may need to do, on the information to hand ....
