Hey, I'm just trying out ASP

Just wondering how you do real time image loading.


DETAILS

: Click on a link/image/button Page doesn't reload to update.
: Image appears at a specific point.

Example, Windows update page. When you add/remove an update item to/from your download list, on the click on the link, it removes the item, infront of your eyes, without reloading the page.

Is it possible?

Hmmm, If it is possible (which apperently it is) I think they would have used Javascript or DHTML. ASP does not have the capability to do that. If I am wrong please let me know.

You can do that sort of thing in ASP.NET. Postbacks can be optimised so the page re-loads really quick, and most times you don't get a page flicker as it reloads, so you get more or less the same effect.
