I am trying to search directories in my internet folder & search for file names &/or textstrings within files.

I have been able to do this wil ASP & access, but have no Idea where to begin on this one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Do you -need- it to be an ISAPI DLL? If you already know ASP it might be easier.

I have some experience coding ISAPI DLLs in Delphi..

It does not have to be ISAPI DLL. I am familiar with ASP. I was messing with the indexing service, but it will not find everything. I think that I am doing something wrong with that.

Thanks

Use the FileSystem Object and Regular expressions, I've made what you are talking about using asp.net but ASP has the abilities to do this as well. Check out http://www.w3schools.com/asp/asp_ref_filesystem.asp for the filesystem object useage and http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtec...ressions.shtml for regular expression useage. Have fun.

I will try that. Thanks. You would not have an example on how to use this to find files by chance?

Thanks a bunch!
