Can I just ask - I have created a gallery - where I can upload pics & it makes thumbnails from the original in a small size

But it takes ages to load the thumbnails because they are based on the original larger graphic - what can I do to fix that ???

plus How do I allow other people to upload their own photos & not get overcome by the size of those photos.

I have used ASP to list the grahics in each folder & that works fine but wonder if I shouldnt be just using an online free utility like something from bravenet ??

so let me get this straight - this code takes the larger graphic & resizes it for the thumbnail - ok I can do that - set dimensions to eg 100 100 but does it also change the download size or fool the system into downloading a small version somehow so its quicker ???

well I guess I will test it out & see if it works

thanks for the heads up - guys from rolla are great

I can see why you moved it here - although I wrote the code in asp I didnt put it here because I wasnt sure that the answer lay in the asp or was some other solution like eg go in a different direction - but thanks

Nope. ASP has no native component for image resizing.

ASP.NET has, so you could pass the parameter to a .net resize function.

flash most popular for when you won't something create game, and website.
but in asp.net you can create website by using asp.net tools and u do not write code for that.its automatically crate the html code for you.
