Hi guys. I really need to sell passwords to an area on my site. How do I use ASP to save a person's e-mail to a database. Last time I posted here someone also mentioned setting permissions on the pay area and creating windows users accounts to allow people to gain access. I have a home server hosting the site using Windows 2000.

Hey,

Would you understand what I am talking about if I told you how to create an access database and setup tables and fields?

Hey, AC, I have a copy of Access and I know how to create a table and the basics such as primary keys and fields. I am lost when it comes to ASP and connecting the table to my website and using the database for passwords. I was thinking that maybe I should buy one of those Sam's books if they make one for ASP because I am not finding enough on the internet to do it myself with no previous knowledge. What do you think? I am also going to search the tutorials as suggested by Aranuh.

Hey danger,

It really depends on how much you want to learn. I never really liked SAMS books. They really were so basic it didnt do any good.

Question, are you looking to create a payarea that is AUTOMATIC or do you want to manually edit it?

I can show you how to save and even use paypal to take payments.

But one last question. Have you considered simply purchasing a small script to handle this for you?
