Hi,
I am new to the list, so I am not yet familiar with the threads of knowledge. I am writing an interactive Palm Pilot screen for a program I have written to give interested visitors a look at the program's features ( http://astro.sps.edu/guidestar/wizard.asp). Hence, I have a main screen with a number of hot spots. I found that it was difficult to get a hot spot to execute more than one command, so someone recommended using layers. Now, here's an example of the flickering. I create a second layer that is landscape (as opposed to the 1st layer that is portrait - same dimensions but opposite directions). I call two behaviors - mouseover on a hot spot to swap the layer, mouseout to return to the original layer. The problem is that the two images flicker while the mouse is still in the hot spot area - very annoying. Any suggestion?
The second case, I would like to do the same thing as the previous example, but with two portraits, the second having a negative menu tag. There is again a flicker when the mouse is over the menu hot spot (called GuideStar Wizard). Then, when the second layer comes up, I would like to be able to click on it to make a third layer surface but nothing happens. If I eliminate the negative menu and just call for a behavior that is going to swap the two layers on a click, nothing happens. No clicking sound either.
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.
