If I were to used MS Access as my database table, how can i store pictures in it? Is there other software i can use?

what i am trying to accomplish is when a customer select a color from my html page, i want to display the product information as well as the image of that product.

Right now, what i have is a static page that contains all the color swatch (approx. 17 swatch) as a customer mouseover the swatch, it display the sock that matches the swatch . The customer then can select his/her color preference and go to that individual color page where they can purchase the product using paypal.

is there another effective of doing it?

thanks!

It is possible to store pictures in a database (not sure about MS Access) but 9 times out of 10 it's not the best way.

What most people do is just store all the image filenames in the database and then put all the images in the same folder. Alternatively, use the Unique ID of each product for the filename.

I prefer never use Ms Access for storaging images or files. I thinks best way is uploading a directory (with ASP Upload or others) and store file name, extensions etc. in the database.

I would use javascript to accomplish this. They select a color and the correct colored pruduct show. Javascript would be the easiest.
