Hi .

I have the below form defined on a asp page.

  <form action="showSubjects.asp" method="post" name="getSearch" style="margin-left:40px;">
	<input name="searchF" type="text" />
	<input name="searchB" type="button" value="Go" />
  </form>
My problem is, it doesn't work and i am completly mythed as to why not.

Is is called from index.asp.

A button won't submit the form You need either a submit type or javascript onClick event.

lol. Yeah ha ha. I had to make type submit.

You know chris, this was one of them dumm *** little errors that no matter how long you look at it, your never going to spot which was why i posted here. I for the life of me just couldnt see what problem was and consequently i was considering the stupidist of possible reasons to explain the problem. I can't even remember now from what process of sheer frustration it was that made me realise and was starting to think that in fact i knew far less than thought did. I'm sitting there saying christ, you can't even knock together a simple form lol. Anyway. Done now but thanks for your input. Im certainly not likely to forget that one again. lol

Aye, I've learned after much futile code staring, printing out and using highlighters, etc. to walk away and do something else for a while, and when you come back it's staring straight at you
