Parsing asp in an html page

I am looking for a way to run some asp code within pages with an html extension. I don't want to create new pages and do a 301 forward and I'm trying to avoid an iframe.

My site is hosted on IIS 5 and I verified that asp does work.

I know that you can add an application extension to force parsing for any extension, but I don't have shell access and it looks like that applies to the whole server anyway, not just one site. My request to the host admin was ignored.

I read that you can run it in a <script> tag, but it didn't work (not surprised).

Any ideas?

If the hosting company won't (I usually suspect can't because they don't know how) add the app mapping there isn't a lot that can be done.
Adding application mappings can be done on a site by site basis provided you have access via the MMC.
