hi ive currently got a site that been running a year now, the site is 100+ pages and is done entirly in HTML (2 frames) using some javascript.

Ive heard that using frames makes it hard to be seen by google??... but bascially need to get the site up the ratings.. and i am currently spending hundreds of pounds on google links!! which is costing me more than im making! (any body have any ideas on quick ways to get up the ratings also??)

I want to transfer the site to either PHP or ASP?? what is better for me concidering i only use dreamweaver currently

Thanks for any help

The answers depends on several factors. The first, on which platform do or will you host your site?

Your machine is running a Unix system and therefore I would suggest PHP. Although there is a Unix implementation of ASP by Chili!Soft (which is installed on your machine and hence it also supports ASP) I would not go the ASP way, because in the end naturally only Microsoft's implemenation supports all ASP features.

Also plain ASP is not really up to day anymore, because now ASP.NET is the way to go and this is more complex than PHP - more comparable to Sun's J2EE.
