Hi.

I need to allow users to be able to update my site. I have some questions as to which way would be best to do this.

Should I use a browser-based WYSIWYG editor to allow my users to update? If not, what would be better, and how would you script it.

I also wish to have 3 user "levels". (ex. people who are in user level 1 can only view certain pages of my site. People who are in user level 2 can only view all of my site, but can not update it. Finally, people who are in user level 3 can view all of my site, and update its content.)

Unfortunatlly I have no idea how to even set up my multiple user levels. I have users in an MS Access Database.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

If it's ASP, try ... InnovaStudio.com - Developer Resources for Web Content Management System for a WYSIWYG editor. You will have to work on the HTML once it's submitted via ASP, but you can write a quick function in about 10 minutes that will clean up most of the code.

As far as user levels go, this is the kind of question that's too advanced and application-specific for a real answer to be posted on the board. But in general terms, I handle issues like this by setting up a field (or fields) for the various user levels. Either I handle user levels numerically (1, 2, 3) or set individual site permissions by Yes/No.

How you do this is entirely up to you, though.
