Do you mean the user logged into the ASP server itself?

<input type="text" name="Login" value="<% = Request.ServerVariables ("LOGON_USER") %>" />

That's the quick, easy code. It's not optimized, but it should work. Optimization is up to you.

When you login to pc you enter your username and password.

When you open your Explorer it can identify what that username and login you keyed in.

I want that username when you open your Explorer. it would almost be like an active directory.

Guys,

I dealt with this before:

The LOGON_USER variable is not populated if you use the Allow Anonymous security to access the ASP page.

This is built in : read all about it at:
PRB: Request.ServerVariables("LOGON_USER") Returns Empty String
