Anyone know anything that would help me find the right candidate?

You can't us usually just hire a .Net developer, unless your really lucky.
Try Microsoft Partners and look up the ASP/Net partners in your area. Some are independents, who might be interested.

I just posted an Ad in the Microsoft's ASP.NET forum and it started to get me feedback, hopefully I get a nice developer. Thanks

any other suggestions?
