What would i use to make a page load itself.

I'm using a header and footer and want a link that will pass a var and run soemthing but make the page just load itself insteaf od directing it to a default page. Any idea's?

if you want to load the same page then just link to that page, or is there something I'm missing ?

I Ended up not needing to know how to do this because the "big picture" wouldnt have worked anyway =\
