I too am using the godaddy.com webhosting, but I have a unique problem. I need to be able to change email recipients of the form from a dropdown box. There will be different 'categories' listed in the dropdown and depending on which category you select, the form info will be sent to a certain email address.

Here is what godaddy says about their form mailer:

The only Form-mailer through ASP hosting that we currently support is GDFORM.ASP. You may also construct form handlers using the CDONTS and CDOSYS functionality to relay mail from the hosting environment.

I would like to use the script found at:
http://www.brainjar.com/asp/formmail/default.asp

If anyone knows how to add the dropdown box to change hidden recipients using the above script (or one that is better), please help!

I also need to be able to validate certain fields, but that may require a new thread altogether...

Thanks in advance!

This one is two parts. (1) You need to set up your dynamic form to list your emails based on categories. Once a user selects the category, (2) pass the recipients email address to a script that fires off the email (CDOSYS). Do a Google search for CDOSYS or legacy CDONTS and you should be able to find something that suits your needs.

Using this method does not involve using godaddy's form mailer... it's not meant for this type of implementation.

I am very much a n00b at ASP, so you kind of went over my head with your explanation. It makes sense in theory, but I do not know how to actually carry it out in the code.

I want the form to look like this:

http://www.wawa.com/customerrelations/cr-home.asp

I took a look at the source, and it looks like they are not actually changing recipients with the category, but just using the category for a title so someone can manually sort the emails. They are also using javascript for the form validation. Can you tweak the existing code to allow for different recipients? Thanks.

Also, I did a search on CDOSYS and I am still trying to understand how it works...
